TRG Manufacturing Search Division is actively seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join an industry-leading, commercial equipment manufacturer. This outstanding organization has continued growing through strategic acquisitions and new product launches and just completed a record-breaking year. This is a highly visible opportunity for a well-rounded Quality Manager to leverage their hands-on quality systems experience and have their work visible to the executive team.

The ideal candidate for this role is a degreed Engineer (BS Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field) with 5+ years of experience leading a quality program that is focused on meeting/exceeding customer expectations in an engineered-to-order manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for developing processes that will utilize statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish high quality and reliability of finished products to their customers. This includes managing the corrective action process and implementing necessary actions that will drive improvements. In addition, this individual will lead a team of technicians so it is important for this person to have the demonstrated abilities to successfully develop and motivate a team to optimize their performance and meet and exceed set goals.

Background:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BS Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, BA Business, or related field)
  • 5+ years of experience in managing a customer-driven quality system (i.e. ISO, ASME, PED, CE, etc.) and team within a low volume, engineered-to-order manufacturing environment.
  • Proven success in setting goals and expectations for a quality team.
  • Formalized Lean Six Sigma training (i.e. Green Belt or Black Belt) and working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles such as 5s, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • ASQ certification a plus (CQM or CQE)
