Our client, one of the largest Mechanical Contractors on the East Coast, is actively seeking a SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN-BUILD PROJECT MANAGER.  In this rewarding position, you will be responsible for overseeing all MEP aspects on site- mechanical HVAC, electrical, controls, fire protection, and plumbing on commercial & industrial projects- ranging from $1 to $12 Million in average value within the Tidewater, Virginia area.

 

They do strictly negotiated, design build work, no hard bid- which also makes them a more stable in today's market, and this organization has a reputation for high integrity and upholding standards of quality and they are looking for like-minded individuals with strong communications and project management capabilities to join and grow with their team.  This position will be groomed to take over the department within 1-2 years of joining the group.

 

This person would be responsible for 3 to 4 ongoing projects at one point, as well as for scheduling & managing sub-contractors.  This individual will also need a strong familiarity with design build projects and communicating directly with building owners and walking them through the entire pre-construction process, contract negotiations & conceptual estimating ability, and should have a demonstrated successful pattern of keeping things on time and under budget at volume.
