The Manufacturing Search Team for The Richmond Group USA is currently seeking a Senior Production Planner to join a growing industry leading equipment manufacturer. Over the last few years, this successful company has increased sales of their core products, and launched a number of exciting new products. This company is the technological leader in their industry, and manufactures a wide variety of value-added engineered products. This is a very exciting opportunity for a high-energy, degreed professional who is looking to leverage their production planning experience to lead a team of planners and material handling associates.
As the team lead for the production planning team this person will be responsible for insuring timely and effective material flow through the production areas of a high volume engineered-to-order products manufacturer. The ideal candidate for this role is degreed material planning professional (BS Business Administration, Operations Management, etc.) with five or more years of solid production planning experience. This is an extremely complex manufacturing environment; therefore, this person needs to be a team player who can work effectively across all areas of the organization (Production Managers, Master Scheduler, line supervisors, Sales, Engineering, etc.) to execute the most cost effective ways to drive overall operational efficiency.
·Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (BS Business Administration, Operations Management, etc.) and 5+ years of production planning experience; including 2+ years in a leadership role
·Strong team player with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
·Ability to schedule in the most cost effective way to drive overall operational efficiency.
·Solid understanding of product flow in a manufacturing environment, with the proven ability to work effectively with other departments to resolve issues like design changes, urgent or damaged parts, WIP, and returns.
·Demonstrated experience with integrated materials / production systems (MRP, ERP)
·Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and disciplines.
·Strong computer skills; including Microsoft Office, and AS400
